   Recently, our home in St. Charles sustained hail damage to the roof and gutters and we were faced with the daunting task of selecting a roofing company to replace them. Being new to the area, we knew no one who had experience with roofers, so we decided to develop a list of criteria to assist in the decision-making process.

   In the meantime, several different roofing companies descended on our neighborhood and began work. Our list included several things to look for at each worksite. Did the roofers make an effort to protect existing landscape from falling debris? Did they confine the fallout to small areas or was the debris strewn about the entire yard? Did they clean up at the end of the workday even though they were returning the next day? Most importantly, was a supervisor onsite during most of the time the crew was working? One company stood out from all the rest, RRN Inc.

   When we approached Bob Nowacki, the owner of RRN, as he was not only supervising the crew on a neighbor’s home, but actually helping pick up debris, we were impressed by his friendly, unassuming manner, the fact that he owned a local business and that he found most of his work based on referrals. Bob introduced us to the homeowner who expressed complete satisfaction with the work-in-progress. We also took note of the fact that the work area was kept as orderly and uncluttered as possible.

   We had the roof replaced in our previous home so that provided us with a frame of reference. By comparison, Bob Nowacki is by far the most professional, conscientious and friendly roofing-business owner we have encountered. He worked with our insurance company, advised us during the selection of shingles and kept us apprised of his progress. In the end, Bob became our newfound friend.
